CanoeFest 2014 – Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor

The weather may be turning murky, grey and rainy again, but for a change,the recent May day weekend seemed to be pretty good overall!  Heading South to make some new friends, Nordic Adventures strapped ‘Alice’ (the Canoe!) to the roofrack and met up with the Open Canoe Association for CanoeFest 2014! This year it was held at the beautiful Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor, and although we couldn’t make it for the whole weekend, it was packed full of paddle workshops, technique advice, talks, coach updates, expeditions…

Life in Sweden is springing into Summer again. Regretfully, our guide (and Father) Anders, past away last year. We are staying true to family traditions and culture, and we maintain his heritage, passion and absolute love of his homeland. We know he is always with us around Lake Vänern and the Dalsand area and we can’t wait to see blue skys and glistening shimmers of light dancing on the waves of upcoming adventures!

Nordic Adventures are here! The long, anticipated wait is finally over and Paul and Karen would like to welcome everyone to the new website.
